Why I’m Here

As of 2017, there were over 56,000 interior designers in the United States alone.  Designers can wear many different hats and are trained to do a multitude of jobs. Some designers have a degree from an accredited University in Interior Design while others have simply learned from experience or other forms of training. Whether they have a degree or not, Interior Designers almost always, absolutely love what the do.  By just having the training and education, designers can be a multitude of things:

  • Residential designer
  • Commercial designer
  • Product Salesmen
  • Furniture Designer
  • Furniture Salesmen
  • Cabinet Designer
  • Product Selector
  • Materials and Finishes Selector

And as a designer you can choose whether you want to work for a design firm, small design company, be a contract designer, or be a freelance designer and get contacted directly by the client or their contractor.

I am writing the blog to provide information to the public about interior design and to debunk common misconceptions about designers. So stick with me here, we’re about to go in detail about the ins and outs of interior design.
